The author

Martyn Marrocco owns and runs a classic car restoration company in North Yorkshire. Having started his own repair and restoration business over 30 years ago at the age of 23, the business grew and he moved to larger premises, eventually ending up at his current workshop. Although his company works on any make of older car, it is particularly renowned for its work on Mercedes-Benz models, and its restorations have won many prizes and awards including the Mercedes-Benz Club national concours and best Mercedes at the NEC classic car show. Martyn is an active member of the Mercedes-Benz Club, being an official valuer, concours judge and model register captain for the W123 model. He has also written numerous articles for the club magazine and is a regular contributor to several independent publications such as Mercedes Enthusiast and Classic Mercedes.
As well as restoring vehicles, Martyn has, in recent years, become very interested in writing about them too.
